The Foreign Trade Promotion Council (FTPC) announced today that the Board of Directors has selected Todd Rizzieri, Executive Director International, at JP MORGAN (www.jpmorgan.com) as a new Board Member. This three year-old organization has grown from a regional SENC global business supporter to play a key role in Growing NC Businesses Globally.

Dr. John Hayes, Executive Director said, “the idea for the council grew out of a desire to better utilize the global trade resources in NC, both public and private, also to utilize the Port of Wilmington’s and the Wilmington International Airport as hubs for delivering NC goods worldwide. Those goals have been accomplished and much more. To that end the FTPC has supported the NC DOT in creating a new FTZ #214 that facilitate trade and reduce or eliminate duty and tariffs. Mr. Rizzieri brings to the FTPC the knowhow and resources of the worlds 6th largest bank and a wealth of information to get the job done for NC companies.”

The FTPC is conducting a series of “Going Global” seminars across NC beginning in the 22 NC Counties within the new FTZ #214. Thursday March 9th, the FTPC will be in Pamlico County with a team of experts meeting with business leaders and county commissioners to offer assistance in growing their business outside the US.

The FTPC focuses on the services needed to execute global transactions. Our Board now includes individuals from global companies with representation in NC and a commitment to having NC business succeed in this crucial time of competitive globalization, including: UPS, Caterpillar, Hanes, Duke Energy, Goodyear, Continental Airlines, Port of Wilmington and ILM. “We are very excited about what Mr. Rizzieri can do for job creation in NC and he brings that skill set to the table.” Hayes added.

Mr. Rizzieri is an international specialist with J. P. Morgan’s international banking team. He partners with the bank’s multinational clients across the Southeastern US in efforts to identify core solutions and strategies to optimize the management of their international business around the world. He has over 19 years of international banking experience, covering core cash management solutions, liquidity, trade, credit, and foreign exchange. He has been with J P Morgan for six years, and is a graduate of Princeton University. Todd resides in Charlotte, NC.
“I am very excited to be part of the Foreign Trade Promotion Council, and continuing the great momentum that the council has started.
